Biography

Tamannaah Bhatia was born on 21 December 1989 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She has completed her schooling from Maneckji Cooper Educational Trust School, Juhu, Mumbai. She is currently pursuing a degree in BA from National College, Mumbai through distance education. Tamanna opted to go for a single name she should be addressed with and stopped using her surname. Reportedly, she believed in numerology and like other actors, she also thought to do the same. She has been working from the age of 13 since she was spotted at her school's annual function day and offered a lead role which she took up. She also appeared in the music video of Lafzon Mein Keh Na Saku by Abhijeet Sawant, former Indian Idol winner which was his first video too.

Tamannaah was born to Santosh and Rajani Bhatia. Her father is a diamond Merchant. She has an elder brother Anand. She belongs to Sindhi origin.

Tamanna Bhatia is a south Indian model/actress who started her film career through her debut film in Hindi called Chand Sa Roshan Chehra.

Tamannaah was born to Santhosh Bhatia and Rajani Bhatia on 21 December 1989.She started acting at the age of 13; Now she is first year student at National College in Bandra. She has a brother, Anand Bhatia. She can speak Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and English. Tamanna has done many ads in Tamil for big companies such as Shakti Masala, Saravana Stores and RMKV. She also did few a music albums before she entered the film industry. She stars in the commercial of Sun Direct.She changed her name recently as Tamannaah Bhatia (old name Tamanna Bhatia).

She started her film career through a Hindi film called Chand Sa Roshan Chehra at the age of 13 years and made her debut in Tamil film industry with Kedi which did not do well at the box office.

Her debut film in Telugu is Sri in which she played the leading female role opposite Manoj Kumar.Presently she is gaining popularity as a heroine in both Tollywood and Kollywood industries.

Her recent movie "Kalloori" did average business at the box-office. However, she was appreciated by the audience for the simple yet realistic portrayal of her role.

Her Role in her recent movie "Happy Days" in Telugu brought her huge success in Tollywood. Her performance in the role of Madhu in "Happy Days" brought her critical acclaim.
